Another year nearly gone. It's been very busy with survey work, mainly damp problems, most of which have been compounded by so-called damp 'experts' but actually just waterfproofers, causing untold damage to lovely houses by failing to understand how buildings work. Where does the water go when it's stopped by a layer of waterproofing plaster or a plastic membrane? It still comes in from the outside defects, high ground levels, broken or leaking gutters and windows though and saturates, by-passing the waterproofing and causing decay and destruction to floors and walls below and beyond.
Photographs below as a warning to all. Call me a Christmas humbug if you want. Best wises - John
Welcome note from me.
I am new to bloging, I talk a lot and write a lot but sharing daily exploits I usually avoid. Let's see how this develops. Your help is much appreciated.
